Here’s another compilation of old TV ads, this time from Kenner, the highly inventive manufacturer of Dolls and Action Figures.
Kenner was ever at the forefront of doll innovation. Not all of the company’s offerings were a huge success, but it didn’t stop them trying out new ideas. From the cult-status Blythe with her color-changing eyes, though dolls such as Sweet Cookie and Crumpet, the food-based dolls, as well as Kara with the cut-able hair, to the highly elastic Stretch Armstrong.
Kenner was a leader in licensing, including deals with TV series such as The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman, and movies, including Raiders of the Lost Ark and Star Wars.
