The jury is still out on this latest development, after a hiatus of over four years, the new male body was launched at Integrity Toys’ Luxe Life convention, in the form of Declan Wake in his scanties.

The new look is more svelte and has greater tone, arguably an even more impossible ideal for mere mortals to achieve than the previous incarnation. I know we’re dealing with fantasy and not real life, but this body looks so cut (to use a bodybuilding term) that it would seem to be impossible to achieve without a serious dehydration regimen. It reminded me of the recent controversy with Victoria’s Secret’s Angels – with strict weight and body fat requirement that would be far beyond the reach of most adult women.

Other innovations are enhancements in the underpants department. There’s a bubble derrière, and more definition up front. The latter is a suggestion in the way of store mannequins, but it means that he fills out his underwear more adequately.

The previous Homme body was certainly idealized, but it did seem to have more of a covering of flesh. Take a look at the photos, kindly provided by Baris, below, and judge for yourself.
