When Andrew Yang was commissioned to create a whole rock concert of dolls for Galeries Lafayette in Paris, he took inspiration from French cinema as well as the silent era. His Kouklitas dolls were re-interpreted as The Kouklistars, and a major project, involving the creation of many iterations of these fantastic fashion rag dolls, began. Several of the dolls are based on real people, as an inside joke, and to make the process more fun, cast friends as some of the characters, stylists and as crew members.
