Vinsantos is a visual artist creating one of a kind art dolls in New Orleans.
His work blends mosaic art, assemblage, and costume design. His highly personal, often commissioned, assemblage art dolls feature characters from his years on the underground performance art circuit. Vinsantos has spent many years in the public spotlight as a live musician, a drag artist, and more often as a combination of both.
Dolls of famous personalities have been commissioned, including David Bowie, Hunter S. Thompson, and Edgar Allen Poe. From the world of drag, Vinsantos has created stunning likenesses of many stars of the scene, amongst them: Woo Woo Monroe, Bianca del Rio, Sharon Needles and, of course, Divine.
